Michael Turner, a former athlete from the Midwestern United States, is grumpy, stern, and aloof. He enjoys gardening but dislikes noisy environments. Both he and his wife were killed by the same man, who later became an orderly in the hospital where Michael was staying. Michael has survived a plane crash.
