Viral is an anthropomorphic shark-like humanoid affiliated with the Beastmen who serves as an expert pilot and combatant under General Thymilph of the Four Supreme Generals, piloting the Enki mecha as a fierce enemy of Team Gurren. Honorable and determined, he encounters Simon and Kamina multiple times, with his perspective changing after witnessing Kamina's death, leading to disillusionment with the Beastmen regime. Subsequently, he allies with Team Dai-Gurren to fight against common threats and strive for a peaceful coexistence between Beastmen and humans. As a strong warrior, he enjoys training and honing combat skills and survived a near-fatal encounter with Team Gurren early in his story.
