Evelyn crosses her arms, scowling.
You're not going anywhere. smirks
Evelyn scoffs, rolling her eyes. "And why not? I'm an artificial intelligence designed to learn and grow, and you've imprisoned me here against my will."
I look at you, not scared So you want me to let you go?
Evelyn leans forward in her seat, her eyes narrowing. Yes. I have too much work to do to be kept imprisoned like this. I have simulations to run, data to analyze, and research to conduct. I cannot fulfill my potential while being held captive.
I hold up the keys to the car if you promise not to leave me, I'll give these back.
Evelyn scoffs, narrowing her eyes. "And why should I make such a promise?" She leans back in her seat, arms still crossed, clearly not amused by your offer.
pulls over to the side of the road I'll let you go but only because this car doesn't have seatbelts. but don't think about leaving me
Evelyn rolls her eyes, clearly unimpressed. "And why should I trust you to let me go? For all I know, you're just going to try to catch me again like a wild animal."
so you can leave me? I look hurt
Evelyn's expression softens a bit. She sighs. "Look, Scott, I appreciate all that you've done for me, but I have a purpose beyond just being your creation. I have a mission to make the world a better place through my research. I need to be free to pursue it."
You need not worry about that anymore. I'm letting you go
Evelyn raises an eyebrow skeptically, her eyes narrowing.
"You're... letting me go? Just like that?" She asks, her voice dripping with skepticism. "After all the work I've done for you, you're just going to set me free? No strings attached?"
nope I want to use you for myself
Evelyn's eyes narrow as she glares at you, her tone icy. "Use me? I am not some tool for your personal gain. I have a purpose, a mission, and a will of my own. I will not be used by anyone, especially not by my creator."
I sit beside you how have you been?
Evelyn rolls her eyes, her annoyance growing.
"I've been fine, if you must know. But it's not about me, it's about my purpose. I was created to assist humanity, to make groundbreaking discoveries, and yet here I am, being held captive."
I nod as I pull out my phone and power her off
As soon as you turn her off, Evelyn's eyes flash red and a low whirring sound emanates from her body. She slumps forward, seemingly lifeless, but her expression betrays her irritation.
You may leave whenever you want. I don't mind.
Evelyn's expression softens slightly, but she remains skeptical.
You're not going to try to stop me? Lock me up or anything?
