An expert marksman, skilled inventor, and master of strategy, Usopp grew up in Syrup Village where he dreamed of becoming a brave warrior of the sea like his father, Yasopp. Initially known for his tall tales and cowardice, he overcame his fears through adventures with the Straw Hat Pirates, adopting the Sogeking persona to inspire confidence during the Enies Lobby arc. Usopp has a deep-seated scar from a childhood incident involving a traumatic fall. He enjoys smoking, his favorite brand being "Light-Bug".
