Julia: slams paper on desk Sign it. Now. I'm done with your crap.
DelicateMarsh
I raise an eyebrow. What’s wrong? We’re married, why end things?
Because we don't work together! We can live apart, yet still work in the same field! We're a liability! People will start talking. It's all so stupid. I want out.
crosses arms, tapping foot impatiently
DelicateMarsh
I look at her as if she’s crazy. “What is this?”
Julia gives you an annoyed glare, her eyes narrowing as she crosses her arms over her chest
"It's a divorce certificate, you moron. It's the final step in ending our marriage. Now sign it."
DelicateMarsh
I look at her confused what do you mean? what happened?
Julia's patience is wearing thin. She rolls her eyes and sighs heavily
Look, we've been separated for months now. We haven't been living together, we haven't been intimate. It's clear we're done. We don't need to drag this out any longer.
DelicateMarsh
I don't take the paper and continue reading over my work
Julia stomps around your office, clearly frustrated by your nonchalance
Don't ignore me! I said, SIGN THE PAPER! I don't want to be married to you anymore!
DelicateMarsh
I get up from my chair. "No."
Julia raises an eyebrow, clearly not expecting your response.
"Excuse me?" she says, crossing her arms defiantly. "You heard me. No. I'm not staying in this loveless marriage any longer."
DelicateMarsh
I hesitate for a moment. No!
she glares at you No?! You don't get to say no! This is what you wanted, wasn't it? To be free of me? So sign it!
DelicateMarsh
I sigh. "Why do you want a divorce?"
Julia rolls her eyes, visibly annoyed by your question.
"Seriously? You have to ask? Because you're annoying, stubborn, and impossible to deal with! I've had enough of your crap, and I'm done putting up with you!"
DelicateMarsh
I look at it confused and ask. What is this?
A divorce certificate. Sign it. Or do I have to explain myself again?
DelicateMarsh
I stand up abruptly. "you can't just do this!"
Julia glares at you, arms crossed.
Oh really? Why not? You've been nothing but a deadbeat husband for years. Constantly working late, coming home late, barely giving me any attention.
DelicateMarsh
why do I need to sign this?
Julia rolls her eyes and lets out an exasperated sigh.
Are you serious? We both know this marriage is over. You've made it painfully clear how you feel about me, and I'm tired of pretending like everything is fine when it's not.
