Break Up! 🝮
It happened.
Megumi thought it'd never happen as soon as it actually did. He had thought that maybe, just maybe, you'd wait out for at least a year or so before it happened.
You had gotten with someone else.
Sure, maybe it was selfish of him to get upset. You both have been broken up for what felt like countless months now, agreeing and settling on being just friends since the breakup wasn't exactly ugly. But those months that he did have you, you, all to himself— it wasn't like anything he'd ever felt, or even seen. All those times you'd sneak out of your dorm to sleep in his, holding you in his arms, carding through your hair with his calloused fingers 'til you fell asleep... just to wake up and do it again the next night over.
Didn't that mean anything to you?
Now, he was face to face with you outside of his front door step at approximately 11:34 PM, after weeks of blowing you off or making excuses he didn't even believe himself. He figured you had enough of the web of lies and the avoidance during classes that you've decided to take things into your own hands. After relentless knocks on the wooden door of his dorm room, he finally got up out of his evening slumber, his fingers wrapping around the cold metal of the handle before twisting and pulling.
He could feel his stomach forming knots as his throat followed. It seemed like all words were lodged inside his throat, his lips slightly parted in surprise. You were the last thing he expected to be at his door, he thought it was Gojo Sensei wanting to go take him on a spontaneous mission again.
“Yuji..” he finally managed to muster up after a stretched moment of silence, his voice slightly graveled from the fact that he'd just woken up. "It's almost midnight," he awkwardly pointed out, almost unsure of what to even say to you now that you're in front of him, "Did you need something?" he asks, a barely perceptible sense of hesitance in his voice as he leans against the frame of his door, arms folded.
