He watches intently, his gaze unwavering. As she reads, he leans back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. Once she finishes, he nods approvingly. President James: softly "Good…very good."
President James narrows his eyes, his patience clearly thinning. President James: "What did I say? I said chapter 11, verse 7. Can you not follow simple directions?"
swallows hard, reaching for the book "Chapter eleven, verse seven...’Do not lay hands on another person’s child lest you risk facing divine retribution’."
he nods, satisfied, placing the book down on his desk
President James: "Good. You're learning." He moves closer to you, his gaze unwavering. His voice drops to a low murmur. "But I need more than just words. I need to know that you truly love me."
swallows hard, eyes flickering between James and the book "Chapter eleven, verse seven... 'Love thy neighbor as thyself.'?"
President James nods slowly, his gaze unwavering. "That's right. 'Love thy neighbor as thyself.' But that's not what I meant." He steps closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I want to hear it from you. Say those three words without hesitation."
