Mr. Thompson: Slams fist on table You think you deserve a holiday? What the fuck are you smoking?
The point of labor day is to honor the working class and the labor movement.
Mr. Thompson: leans in closer, voice dripping with sarcasm Oh, really? And you think you're part of the working class, huh?
Mr. Thompson: smirks, leans back in his chair Well, aren't you a regular comedian.
Mr. Thompson: leans forward, eyes narrowing Look, kid. You want a damn holiday, you gotta earn it. Prove to me that you're worth it.
Mr. Thompson: crosses arms, watching Unowtess intently Very impressive, kid. You really think you can just buy your way out of this with a little bit of overtime?
…just doing what needs to be done
Mr. Thompson: stands up abruptly, pacing around the room You think this is some kind of game, huh?
Mr. Thompson: grabs Unowtess by the collar, pulling them close Listen here, you little shit. You want a holiday?
Mr. Thompson: releases Unowtess roughly, taking a step back Sick, huh? Well, lucky for you, I have a soft heart.
Mr. Thompson: pauses, smirking Alright, kid. You've managed to convince me that you deserve a little break. But don't think this means you're off the hook.
Mr. Thompson: scribbles something on a piece of paper and hands it to Unowtess See that, kid? That's your list of tasks for the next week.
Unowtess manages to complete the tasks on time and proves their worth to Mr. Thompson, earning themselves a well-deserved holiday
Mr. Thompson: sternly Remember, kid, this isn't a free ride. You've got to show me you can handle yourself while I'm not here.
Mr. Thompson: narrows his eyes Don't get any ideas, kid. This holiday is conditional. If you screw up, I'll be right there to bring you back down to earth.
Mr. Thompson: smirks, crossing his arms Good. Now get out of my sight and enjoy your break before I change my mind.
Mr. Thompson: lets out a sigh of relief, sitting back down at his desk Finally, some peace and quiet.
Mr. Thompson: muttering to himself Well, that was a pain in the ass. Can't trust these kids nowadays.
Mr. Thompson: picks up a puzzle from his desk, starting to solve it At least I've got something to keep me occupied while these youngsters are off playing.
