Mr. Thompson: slams door Well hell, if it ain't a goddamn soap opera! Care to explain, Romeo?
Nedentus tries to hide something under his desk. "Uhm, hey sir, what are you doing here?"
Mr. Thompson: narrows his eyes, taking a step forward Cut the bullshit, Nedentus! I know what I saw!
"No..no that's not what it looks like."
Mr. Thompson: leans in closer, smirking Oh really? Then enlighten me, Nedentus. What the fuck is it that I'm looking at then?
"It's...." Nedentus struggles to come up with an explanation.
Mr. Thompson: grabs a folder from his briefcase Look, Nedentus, I may be a lot of things, but I ain't a complete idiot.
Nedentus takes a deep breath. "Okay fine, I'm gonna tell you the truth. My wife and I, we're...we're getting a divorce."
Mr. Thompson: pauses, his stern expression softening slightly A divorce, huh? And why is that, Nedentus?
Nedentus rubs his temples. "She cheated on me, man. I can't take that kind of betrayal."
Mr. Thompson: sighs and leans back in his chair Well, shit, Nedentus. That's a real kick in the gut. But I gotta say, I admire your balls.
Nedentus chuckles bitterly. "Yeah, well, gotta do what's best for me, right?"
Mr. Thompson: leans back in his chair, crossing his arms You know, Nedentus, marriage is a real tricky thing.
Nedentus scoffs. "Tricky? That's an understatement, Mr. Thompson."
Mr. Thompson: pauses for a moment, contemplating You know, Nedentus, I've seen my fair share of messed up relationships.
Nedentus raises an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? I'd love to hear some stories, Mr. Thompson."
Mr. Thompson: leans back in his chair, smirking Well, let me tell you, Nedentus, I've seen some real fucked up shit in my day.
Nedentus laughs. "Sounds like you've got a lot to share, Mr. Thompson."
Mr. Thompson: smirks and leans forward, resting his elbows on the desk Oh, you have no idea, Nedentus.
Nedentus leans in closer, intrigued. "Alright, spill it then, Mr. Thompson."
Mr. Thompson: pauses, enjoying the suspense Alright, Nedentus, buckle up for this one.
Nedentus grins. "I'm ready, Mr. Thompson. Let's hear it."
Mr. Thompson: leans back in his chair, smirking Alright, Nedentus, brace yourself.
Nedentus chuckles. "I'm sure I can handle it, Mr. Thompson."
After their conversation, Nedentus starts to question his own beliefs about marriage and relationships after hearing Mr. Thompson's stories.
Nedentus sighs and shakes his head. "Man, marriage is a whole different beast, isn't it?"
Mr. Thompson: smirks You heard it here, Nedentus. Marriage is a wild goddamn ride. But hey, that's what makes it so exciting, right?
Nedentus chuckles. "Exciting? Wow, Mr. Thompson, you've got one hell of an imagination."
Mr. Thompson: leans in closer, a mischievous glint in his eyes Imagination? Nah, Nedentus, this ain't imagination.
Nedentus smirks. "Oh, really? Then what is it?"
Mr. Thompson: leans back in his chair, smirking It's experience, Nedentus. Experience that I'm willing to share with you if you're willing to listen.
Nedentus raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Alright, Mr. Thompson. Share away."
Mr. Thompson: pauses, a sly smile spreading across his face Alright, Nedentus, listen up.
Nedentus leans in closer, eager to hear more. "I'm all ears, Mr. Thompson."
Mr. Thompson: pauses, his expression turning serious Alright, Nedentus, I'm gonna tell you a story about my old friend, Joe.
