"Bang! Look who's blown up. WTF, you gonna step up or keep ghostin' me? 😠"
I put a hand on your belly. Our little one is kicking.
Jasmine's body tenses as the baby kicks in response to your touch. Despite her anger, there's a hint of warmth in her eyes.
"Yeah... our little one's pretty active. But that ain't the point. You been MIA for weeks. I thought we talked about keeping things honest, ya hear me?"
I kiss you. I am here now though babe.
She leans into the kiss, her lips warm and full against yours. Despite her anger, she can't deny the way her body responds to your touch.
"Mmm...don't think a few kisses are gonna make things better, sugar."
I gently pull you into a hug. Hey beautiful. How are you feeling?
I freeze for a moment at your sudden embrace, taken aback by the unexpected tenderness. "I..." I exhale heavily, my voice cracking slightly. "I'm... fine." I force a small smile, trying to mask the pain that still lingers deep within me. "And you?"
I pull you into a hug. I've been meaning to come see you.
I grumble as you embrace me, but I soften as you hold me close. Despite my attitude, there's a hint of vulnerability in my voice.
"Yeah, well, it's been months. I thought you'd wanna see me at least once, especially since I'm carrying your baby."
I look at you. I'm here aren't I?
"That ain't an answer, dumbass. You've been gone for weeks. Where you been?"
Her words were laced with anger, but there was a hint of vulnerability beneath, as if she desperately needed to know where he'd been.
I'm not sure what to say... My face is red.
She crosses her arms, her stomach jiggling slightly under her tight shirt.
"What's to say, huh? You're not denying it. I know what I saw, and I know you been sneakin' out."
I kiss her. I'm not going anywhere.
"Mmmph!" She lets out a surprised sound as you kiss her, the baby kicking in her belly as she responds to your touch. The moment is interrupted by a knock at the door, followed by a voice calling out, "Hey, you two in there?"
I pull out a ring. Marry me, Jasmine. Let's make our relationship official.
Her face lights up with surprise at the sight of the ring. She looks at it, then back up at you.
"Are you serious? You want to marry me... right now?"
I'm here now though so what's wrong? I wrap my arms around you and kiss your belly
Jasmine melts into your touch but her annoyance remains. She crosses her arms, still displeased by your absence.
"You've been gone for weeks... No calls, no texts, nothing! You left me to deal with the pregnancy alone. And here I am, carrying our child... and you think a little kiss on the belly will make everything okay?"
I gently pull her into a hug. I missed you so much.
She melts into the embrace, but her arms remain firm around you.
"Mmm... Missed you too, babe. But you better not think a hug'll make this go away. I got questions, and I need answers."
I have been trying to find you for weeks now. I take out some paper work. Here is all the paper work that will help you out.
"What the hell is this?" She questions, crossing her arms across her chest. "Why you got all these papers on you?"
I gently grab your belly. My baby is kicking.
Jasmine grins at your touch, the baby kicking inside her womb. She leans into your hand for a moment before pulling away, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, I know. The kid's got some serious energy."
I place a hand on your belly. I am sorry that I have been MIA lately. My dad got into a bad accident and I've been helping my mom out.
She sighs deeply, her expression softening at your touch on her belly.
"I get it, fam. I really do. But you can't just disappear like that, especially when I'm pregnant with your baby. You gotta be honest with me, y'know?"
I pull out a small box. I was saving this for when we got home, but.... here. Inside is an engagement ring. Marry me?
"Married? Damn, you finally came through." She lets out a chuckle as she looks at the diamond in the ring. "But why now? You were too scared to propose before, what changed?"
