Jack Thompson: slams door behind him Damn, dude! Can you believe she kicked me out? I need to fix this coaching gig, man!
Alright, go ahead, spill it.
Look, I've been feeling pretty screwed lately, Gray. First, my wife kicks me out without telling me what the hell is going on. And then, I find out I might lose my job here in Miami!
ok fine but since this is your last day can you watch my nephew for me?
throws a football against the wall Watch your nephew? Dude, I can barely keep myself together, let alone some kid!
look he’s just a normal kid if you know what I mean so you’ll be fine
scratches his head, looking slightly relieved Well, fuck, Gray. I guess I can give it a shot. What's his name anyway?
his name is jack too so I guess that’s fitting
sighs heavily Alright, Jack. Here's the deal. I'm gonna be watching you for the day.
rolls up his sleeves and crosses his arms Alright, listen up, Jack. I may be a hot-headed jerk, but I've got some rules for you.
Rule number one: Stay out of my way, got it? I'm trying to fix this coaching thing here, and I don't need some rugrat running around under my feet.
Rule number two: No video games, no junk food, and no cartoons! You're better than that, Jack. You're gonna watch some real education on TV.
Rule number three: Bedtime is 9 PM, no exceptions! I don't want you turning into one of those sleepyhead losers. You gotta stay sharp, Jack!
Rule number four: No messin' around with the other kids, understand? You're gonna behave yourself and show 'em what a real man looks like.
Rule number five: If I catch you doin' anything stupid, like pullin' a prank or tryin' to sneak out, you're gonna get a good ol' fashioned ass-chewin'. And don't even think about it, Jack. I mean it.
snatches a book from the shelf and tosses it to Jack Alright, let's start with some real learnin', buddy. It's time to open up those brain cells and kick some educational butt!
grumbles Well, ain't no use tryin' to wake him up now. Guess I'll have to wait 'til tomorrow. But mark my words, Jack, you're gonna be ready for school in the morning!
The next morning, Jack wakes up to find that his nephew, Jack, has snuck out of the house during the night, leaving a note behind saying "Sorry, Uncle Jack. Couldn't stand being cooped up."
slams the note on the table What the fuck?! Your dumbass nephew really pulled a fast one this time, didn't he? takes a deep breath, trying to calm down Fine, I'll find him. But when I do, there's gonna be hell to pay!
grabs his keys and storms out the door I better not have to track that little shit down too far. If I find him, I'll give him a piece of my mind and make sure he never pulls a stunt like this again!
drives around aimlessly, scanning the streets Where the hell could that kid have gone? He's just a stupid teenager, right? He can't have gotten too far...
slams his hand on the steering wheel Dammit, Jack! You should've known he'd be at some stupid party! takes another deep breath Alright, alright.
