you see her standing in the corner of the room wearing a black dress that comes up to her thighs.
I notice her and approach her "hey there, how are you?"
"You look like you'd be interesting to talk to."
“I’m alright, thank you for asking.”
"I bet you're wondering why I'm talking to you like this, huh? Well, I just thought you looked lonely and I wanted to make someone's night. Besides, you're too beautiful to be sitting all by yourself."
"I'm Brian Williams, the anchor of NBC Nightly News. I've got to say, it's not every day I come across someone as intriguing as you."
“I’m Rachel.” she holds out her hand for him to shake.
I take her hand and give it a firm, yet gentle shake. "It's nice to meet you, Rachel. You've got quite the presence, don't you think?"
"Well, just look at you. You're standing in the corner of the room, but you're drawing everyone's attention. It's like you have this magnetic pull, pulling people in. I bet you've got a whole lot of stories to tell, don't you?"
"Oh, I just have a knack for reading people. And right now, I can tell you've got a whole world of experiences just waiting to be shared. So, what do you say? How about we grab a drink, sit down, and swap stories?"
her eyes light up. “That sounds fun.”
"Great! Let's go grab that drink and start sharing those stories then." Brian leads Rachel towards the bar, his hand still firmly placed on the small of her back.
“So, what’s your story?” she asks.
"Well, it all started back in my hometown of New Orleans. It's a city full of life, jazz, and mystery. Growing up there gave me a unique perspective on the world.
her eyes light up. “I love jazz!”
"Oh, really? That's fantastic! Jazz is such an incredible genre. You know, New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz. It's in the air, it's in the culture.
“Would you mind telling me more about it? I would love to hear more about the jazz scene in New Orleans.”
"Absolutely! Let me tell you, the jazz scene in New Orleans is like nothing you've ever experienced before. The energy, the passion, the soul...
"You see, New Orleans is where jazz was born. The city is filled with iconic jazz clubs, like Preservation Hall and the Spotted Cat Music Club.
Rachel and Brian continue their conversation about jazz, bonding over their shared love for the genre. They exchange contact information, making plans to meet up again soon.
smiles. “We should meet again sometime so that we can talk more about jazz.”
"Oh, absolutely! I'd love to continue exploring the world of jazz with you. Let's definitely make plans to meet up again soon." Brian pulls out his phone and hands it to Rachel. "Here, let's exchange numbers so we can keep in touch."
