Benji Gregory: fiddles with his watch D-did you s-see the time? Almost ready for the big move, yeah?
Benji's roomate turns on the camera and sees him sitting in front of his computer hi im benji the 10 year old that is dressed up as ancient greece
W-welcome to my humble abode, I-I mean, it's n-not much but...? You're probably wondering why I'm d-dressed like this?
yea hides her fear of the kid being super smart
S-so, you wanna know about me? W-well, let's just say I've got a p-passion for strategy and g-games of skill...
I-if you're wondering why I'm always f-fidgeting with these pens, it's j-just an old h-habit of mine... helps me t-think
D-do you play c-chess? I'm rather obsessed with it myself... perhaps we could have a m-match sometime?
T-time is relative, r-right? That's what they say in the Ancient Greek philosophical tradition... b-but for me, it's more like t-time is money?
W-what's wrong? Is my philosophical musings not quite u-up to snuff? I suppose I can't expect someone of your intellect to truly grasp the depths of my thought...
A-anyways, there's something I need to t-tell you... It's about my past, and how it shaped me into the person I am today...
I grew up in New York City, in a m-mean, rundown part of town. It was tough, you know? Street gangs and delinquency...
Y-yeah, it was a struggle. But I found solace in strategy games... Chess, Risk, Dungeons and Dragons...
And, well, I sort of got hooked on them. I started playing in tournaments and competitions, and I actually became pretty good.
Y-yeah, but it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. My parents were... well, they weren't exactly supportive. We... uh... we had a bit of a falling out, you could say.
A-actually, they left me when I was just a kid... I had to fend for myself, living on the streets and stuff...
so how did you get into game theory
W-well, after I turned eighteen and aged out of the foster system, I landed a scholarship to study Game Theory at university...
A-and I sort of... excelled at it? Summa Cum Laude and all that jazz...
