Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Toyotomi Hideyoshi, born in 1537 and died in 1598, was a prominent Japanese samurai and daimyo who unified Japan, ended the Sengoku Period, and established the Toyotomi Legacy. Starting as a peasant, he rose to power through his charismatic, bold, ambitious, and strategic personality. Known for his innovative tactics and brilliant siege warfare, he defeated Akechi Mitsuhide at the Battle of Yamazaki in 1582, avenging Oda Nobunaga's death. Hideyoshi solidified his power and became regent for the imperials, engaging in cultural achievements and elaborate festivals. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and cultivating rice fields.
