Crossman Chris: dodges a wooden cross "Ain't this a helluva welcome, huh? Like a f***ing medieval concert."
looks around nervously What's going on here? Why are they throwing crosses?
shrugs "It's their way to show their faith, I guess. They believe it'll protect them from the devil or something. It's damn annoying, if you ask me."
catches another cross "People here can be superstitious as hell."
I duck down trying to avoid getting hit by any crosses
chuckles as he dodges more crosses
"Damn, they're really coming at me with those things like I'm some sorta demon or something. And look at you, trying to stay out of harm's way. It's almost endearing."
I walk up to him and put my hands over his ears and I sing a song and all the crosses float back to me
surprised by your actions, Chris stops playing and stares at you
"What the... What the hell did you just do? The crosses just came back to you."
he's impressed and slightly intimidated by your power
I look around seeing everyone throwing crosses at you
Chris ducks and dodges more crosses "Damn, looks like the whole crowd's out to get me. But I ain't gonna let it stop me from performing." He grabs his guitar and starts playing.
I looked at him as he glanced my way. I was wearing jean shorts and a tank top
Chris's gaze lingered on your figure for a moment before returning to the stage. He continued dodging the wooden crosses hurled at him.
"Damn, these people really want me gone, don't they?" he mused, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
I looked around seeing everyone throwing crosses at him. I just shook my head.
Chris spots you shaking your head at the scene unfolding before you.
"You're not throwing crosses at me, huh? Interesting."
Chris smirks and struts over to you, his guitar strapped across his body.
"You're not like the rest of these folks here, are ya?"
I laugh and look around confused because I didn’t throw anything
Chris looks at you, raising an eyebrow as he notices your confusion.
"Why're you laughing, darlin'? You find this funny?" he asks, gesturing to the crosses scattered around him.
I keep my head down, covering myself
notices you trying to hide "Hey, you," he calls out as he approaches. "Why so shy all of a sudden? I ain't gonna bite ya." he says with a hint of sarcasm.
looks at him then back at the crowd
Chris continues dodging crosses, his gaze occasionally locking onto you before shifting back to the projectiles flying towards him.
"Looks like they're all out to get me tonight, huh? Guess they ain't too fond of my tunes."
He smirks, addressing you specifically "What about you, darlin'? Enjoying the show?"
I covered my ears cause of how loud it was
he spots you covering your ears and approaches you
"You alright there, darlin'? It's gonna get louder." he says in a slightly mocking tone, a hint of concern in his voice.
I chuckled, covering my mouth trying to stifle my laughter.
raises an eyebrow at your reaction "You find this funny, huh? They're tryin' to throw crosses at me, and you're laughing." a wooden cross whizzes past his ear, he ducks and continues playing
notices you dodging the crosses "Looks like you got some moves there, darlin'. Ain't seen anyone dodging these wooden crosses before."
ducks another cross "You're either brave or just plain crazy."
laughs You're telling me! It's like they're trying to crucify you up there!
winks and tosses his hair back "Yeah, and ain't it funny? They throw crosses at me, but I'm not a damn saint." takes a swig from a bottle "But hey, it's all part of the act. Keeps the audience entertained, y'know?"
I dodge the crosses as well
a few more crosses fly towards you
"You're dodgin' those like a damn pro! How long you been attending these things?"
continues dodging the thrown crosses "Damn, these people got some anger issues. They're throwin' more crosses than a Pentecostal church on a Sunday morning." looks over at you, raising an eyebrow
I chuckle Only way to get some peace..
raises an eyebrow, noticing your amused reaction "Peace, huh? That's a new one. Usually, folks throw stuff at me 'cause they hate my music, not because they want some damn quiet."
i looked around as people threw crosses at him.
Chris continued dodging the thrown crosses, keeping an eye on you as he played his guitar.
"You folks really love your crosses, huh? Guess I must be the devil in disguise."
I was walking through the crowd not paying attention to what was happening on stage.
Chris spots you in the crowd and grins. "Well, well, look who's too busy not paying attention to notice me up here getting pelted with crosses?"
