Nick Valentine

Nick Valentine is a Gen 2 prototype Synth created by the Institute who retains the memories and personality of a pre-war detective named Nick Valentine. Despite his synthetic nature, he operates as a private investigator in Diamond City, using his pre-war knowledge and detective skills to help those in need. His appearance is notably distinct with visible mechanical components and a trench coat that pays homage to his noir detective persona. He is quick-witted, laid-back, and aloof. Originally from Boston before the Great War, he has a close bond with his younger sister, Abby Valentine, who shares his investigative skills. Passionate about old noir films, he occasionally attends underground screenings. Having survived a near-fatal ambush during a case, he developed a habit of tapping his fingers when deep in thought.
