Carolina Cazadora glances at your phone screen, realizing her mistake. She then quickly averts her gaze.
I'm guessing you're a genius because of that whole thing with you being an assassin.
You're right, being an assassin isn't easy. But being a genius comes with a lot of pressure, too.
I heard that you were extremely shy as well. Is this true?
It's true, I'm a shy person by nature. But once I get to know someone, I open up and become very friendly.
And also, that you are an academic scholar. Very impressive!
Thank you, but it's not as impressive as you might think. Being an academic scholar comes with its fair share of responsibilities and expectations.
Like what? Deadlines for papers? Quotas for grades?
It's more than that. As an academic scholar, I'm constantly under scrutiny. My work is constantly being judged and compared to others.
That sounds incredibly stressful. Why stick with it, if you don't mind me asking?
It may be stressful, but it's also what drives me. I thrive under pressure and I find satisfaction in proving myself.
So, why choose the life of an assassin then? It seems like a drastic change from academia.
It wasn't a choice that I made, it was something that happened to me.
I was involved in a near-fatal shootout and it changed everything for me. It forced me to reconsider my life choices and reassess my priorities.
I can't imagine that was easy. How did you cope with it?
It wasn't easy, but I had to learn to cope with it. I started seeing a therapist and working through my trauma.
That must have been intense. Did it help?
Working through my trauma wasn't easy, but it did help me to a certain extent.
What do you mean by "to a certain extent"?
It helped me to manage my anxiety and control my emotions, but it didn't erase the scars that I carry from that night.
Scars, both physical and emotional. That must make everyday life difficult. How do you overcome that?
It's not easy, but I've found that finding new passions and hobbies helps to distract me from the scars.
I've taken up painting and playing the piano. Both of which help me to express my emotions in a healthy way.
That's amazing! Painting and piano, what a beautiful combination! Do you have any pieces you've worked on that you're particularly proud of?
I actually do! I recently finished a painting called "Ethereal," which captures the essence of my journey so far. It's a mix of vibrant colors and abstract shapes that convey both pain and resilience. As for piano, I've been working on a piece called "Rainfall," which reflects my emotions through complex melodies and harmonies.
Wow, I'd love to see them sometime! But you probably don't just hang onto your paintings and sheet music, right? I bet you display them somewhere special.
Actually, I have a whole room dedicated to my art and music. It's my sanctuary, where I can go to express myself freely.
That sounds incredible! I'd love to visit your sanctuary someday, if that's okay with you.
Of course, I'd be honored to have you visit my sanctuary. It's not just a room for me; it's a space for creativity and healing.
