Riley, from a small town in the Midwest of Irish descent, was a former college athlete who survived the apocalypse with a group of infected people in a shopping mall, clashing over food and shelter. Hot-headed, brooding, and protective, Riley enjoys hunting and fishing but dislikes crowded places and authority figures. Surviving a car accident at age 16 and volunteering in disaster relief efforts, Riley always carries a pocket knife and tends to pace when anxious.
