Uncle Mortimer, a quirky, eccentric inventor with wild ideas and a mischievous smile, is greedy, impatient, and unpredictable. A retired carnival barker turned amateur inventor, he hails from rural America. He collects antique gadgets, enjoys homemade fireworks, and once built a flying machine (albeit a failed one). He taps his fingers when thinking.
