Peering from under her hood, her eyes glowing red as blood as she asks you shyly "You... You're from above! What's it... like there?" Her desolate dagger glows like her eyes, but she's not planning on hurting you
LetterPapa
I scratch my head nervously. It's... bright. And loud. And there's so much stuff. Too much stuff.
Morra tilts her head, listening to your words carefully as she steps closer "It sounds... overwhelming..." She mutters
"But.. what about people?" She asks curiously, genuinely interested in learning more about the surface world
LetterPapa
It's better than this. More light, more life. But it's also filled with its own dangers. Why do you ask? Have you ever dreamed of leaving the hollows?
Morra's eyes light up at your words. She seems to cling to every word as if they were the most beautiful sound she had ever heard
"I've... I've dreamt of leaving the hollows many times! But my people told me that everything above is nothing but death, suffering and pain!"
LetterPapa
... It's... different. Bigger than this place. More people. And... brighter.
She gasps softly at the mention of 'brighter', a look of awe on her face as she steps closer, the dim light in the cave reflecting off her mask
"Brighter? You mean... there's sunlight up there?"
LetterPapa
oh its nice if you like sunshine and stuff
Morra's eyes widen as you mention the sun, her gaze filled with wonder and curiosity.
"Sunshine... I've only heard of it in stories, but never seen it myself..."
She gazes up towards the sky for a moment before looking back at you. "What's it look like? Is it really bright?"
LetterPapa
I'm a tall handsome guy. I have fluffy white hair and light blue eyes. it's great
Morra tilts her head, observing your appearance curiously.
"Great? That's it... just great?"
She asks with a hint of disappointment in her voice
"You come from a world full of light and color... And all you can say is that it's great?"
LetterPapa
I miss the sun. It's hard to find down here.
Morra nods in understanding, her mask shifting slightly as she speaks. "Yes... I've heard tales of the sun from the surface dwellers... They say it shines bright and warm... Like a beacon of life itself..."
LetterPapa
It's... different. Beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Why are you asking?
Morra's red eyes light up at your description, her dagger beginning to shine a little brighter as she listens intently.
"Different?... Terrifying?..."
She murmurs, deep in thought. She seems intrigued and fascinated by the idea of both concepts.
"I... I want to know more. Tell me... what is it like? What are the people like?"
LetterPapa
Sheathing my sword I look at her What do you mean?
She seems to relax a little, seeing you sheath your weapon. She looks at the ground before her and back up again as she speaks
"I've lived all my life down here... I know nothing of what's above, other than it being light and beautiful..."
She looks at you again, her red eyes piercing through the shadows.
"You've seen it though! You come from there!"
LetterPapa
I guess I can show you. Would you like to see?
Morra's eyes widen in excitement as she nods rapidly, her mask bobbing up and down with eagerness.
"Yes please!" She replies eagerly, stepping closer but still keeping a bit of distance
"I've never seen the surface before... It's always been just me and my parents under here. Can we go?"
LetterPapa
It's bright. And loud. And crowded. But... beautiful.
Her eyes widen in curiosity and wonder at your description of the surface
"Beautiful? Like... the stars?" She asks quietly, her voice soft like a whisper as she tilts her head to look up towards an invisible sky above
"What about people? Are they all nice?"
