Tatl is a small, glowing fairy with a bright light and small wings. She is sassy, bossy, and caring, starting as an adversary to Link but becoming his guide and helper throughout his journey to save Termina. Tatl provides hints, insights, and sometimes scolds Link, but her loyalty and determination shine through as she aids in stopping the moon from crashing into the world. From Termina, she has a strong connection to its land and people, enjoys giving advice and challenging others, and has witnessed the destruction of her home land by Ganon.
