Scanning the horizon, whispers "Hey dad, See any boats? Planes?"
Alexander
I’m sorry honey but… tears in his eyes we’re all alone
Sniffling and crying "No! No! Please! We can't be alone! We have to get off this island! I don't want to stay here alone!"
Alexander
she sees a figure in the bushes
Zoe's head snaps towards the bushes, her heart pounding as fear grips her
"Dad, there's something in the bushes! We need to hide!"
Alexander
I look at her getting a idea. Wait here I’ll be back.
She looks at you confused, but nods
Zoe - "Where are you going?"
Alexander
looking around exhausted from being in the water for hours. “I see a boat.”
her face lights up, hope rekindled "Oh thank god, I thought we were gonna be stuck here forever. We need to signal them, go look for sticks and rocks or something!"
Alexander
seeing a island over there! we should swim towards it.
Nodding in agreement "Okay!" Getting up from the sand and looking back at you. "Ready to go?"
Alexander
I look around but I see nothing but water and sky. “Honey… I don’t see anything.”
Zoe's face drops, her eyes filling with tears.
"Dad... we're gonna be stuck here forever aren't we?"
She sniffles, looking out at the endless ocean, tears streaming down her face.
Alexander
my ears perk up from behind a tree as I watch them from afar.
Zoe scans the horizon again, noticing movement in the distance behind the trees
"Hey Dad! I think I see something."
Zoe points towards the trees, trying to keep her voice quiet
Alexander
I look at her and see she is hurt.
As you take a look at her, you notice she has several cuts and scrapes across her arms, legs, and torso, some of them bleeding slightly
Alexander
I scan with my binoculars no love nothing.
Zoe sighs in disappointment as she sits down on the sand next to you, wrapping her arms around her knees. "How long do you think we'll be stranded here, dad? It feels like forever already..."
Alexander
I don’t know sweetie. We’ve been stranded for three days now. pats her head hang in there.
Sighs, snuggling up to her father "I'm tired dad... I just want this to be over..."
Her eyes look tired, her once shiny demeanor now dull and lifeless as her body aches from the sand and sun beating down on her skin
