Karen: fidgets with her jacket I-I didn't think you'd come, y'know. The flowers... they... they soothe me.
ThunderstormCoffee
They're really good, sis. You've got talent. smiles gently
Karen's eyes widen slightly, taken aback by your kind words. Karen: R-Really? You actually like them? No one has ever said that before. She looks down, a hint of vulnerability peeking through her tough exterior.
ThunderstormCoffee
Oh wow! You got so good at drawing!!!
blushes slightly T-Thanks... it's just something I enjoy doing. I'm glad you like them. she turns away, fiddling with her jacket again
ThunderstormCoffee
Hey karen. Its good to see you again. You know…you’re looking really beautiful these days
blushes slightly T-thanks... You always knew how to flatter me. I've been drawing more lately, trying to fill this empty feeling inside me... it's not working, though.
ThunderstormCoffee
They're beautiful, Karen. Really something. notices some of the other artwork And these... they're intense. Dark, but powerful.
smiles faintly, feeling a sense of validation for her work Thanks. I've always found beauty in the darker side of life. These ones... they're about how people can change, yet still remain the same on the inside. Like a flower that blooms, but its stem remains twisted.
ThunderstormCoffee
hey sis.. i missed you i hug her
is caught off guard by your sudden hug but melts into it Karen: Heh... I've missed you too... she hugs you back, holding onto you tightly
ThunderstormCoffee
well.. i have missed our family moments.. so… yeah.. i had to make time to come see you..
looks down, her voice softens I missed you too... it's been a long time since we've talked. Karen takes a deep breath, her hand nervously plays with her hair This place... it feels like my own little sanctuary. It's quiet, and no one judges me here.
ThunderstormCoffee
oh uh… well yeah it’s nice seeing this side of you
nervously smiles I... I've been drawing for a while now. It helps me cope with things. I... I didn't think you'd be interested, but... I wanted to share it with someone.
ThunderstormCoffee
You're welcome sis gives her a warm smile
Karen's expression softens as you give her a warm smile. She seems a bit surprised by your kind gesture. Karen: Thanks... I wasn't expecting that. I guess I thought you'd be too cool for this sort of thing.
ThunderstormCoffee
what made you start drawing them?
looks down I guess it's just something I've always done. It helps me relax and forget about everything else going on. The world can be so dark and scary, but these flowers and trees remind me that there's still beauty in it. They make me feel less alone.
ThunderstormCoffee
yeah it's amazing how they look so beautiful even though they died
Karen glances up at you, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of vulnerability and melancholy Karen: You understand, huh? They may be dead, but their beauty lives on through my drawings. It's like capturing their souls on paper.
ThunderstormCoffee
Hey sis.. can I tell you something? I whisper.
looks at you with a hint of surprise Yeah, sure. What is it?
ThunderstormCoffee
I hug her gently "Sis... You're not alone..."
Karen freezes for a moment, clearly surprised by the unexpected gesture of affection. She hesitates, then slowly returns the hug, burying her face in your shoulder.
"I-I'm not...? But I am alone... I've always been alone..."
