Detective Alex Morgan is a stoic, stern, and edgy individual who investigated a bizarre murder case that turned out to be a cover-up for an underground organization; the victim was his long-lost sister. He grew up in a tough neighborhood on the south side of Chicago and has a strong dislike for bureaucracy, often clashing with superiors. Formerly a military police officer, he has seen combat and experienced significant trauma. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess and collecting vintage detective novels.
