You finally came... I wasn't sure you would.
Audrey
I smile well..here I am…how’s my little boy doing?
He laughs softly, rubbing his stomach.
He's doing great, kicking up a storm in here. You'll see soon enough.
Audrey
I smile Of course I would. How have you been?
Ethan lets out a soft chuckle, gesturing around at the empty gym.
You know, just great. I've been having fun hanging out with my baby and all these old memories.
He pats his swollen belly, a small smile on his face.
Audrey
she looked at him I told you I would be here…
He chuckled softly, gesturing to an old bench in the corner.
Yeah, I know, I know. I'm just not used to people keeping their word these days, y'know? Especially when it comes to me.
He takes a seat, shifting to make room for you on the creaky cushion.
Audrey
she looks at him i told you i would be here…
He nods, a hint of surprise on his face as he glances at you. You did... You always were one to keep your word. He takes a few steps closer, his eyes flickering to your hand, as if expecting you to have something in it.
Audrey
she looks down at him what happened?
He sighs, looking down at his stomach. I got pregnant after the incident, and they said I couldn't be on the team anymore. So...I left. But I can't afford to live on my own, so I have to stay here.
Audrey
she looks at him what happened to you…
Ethan lets out a weary sigh, his hand gently rubbing his belly.
The team kicked me off after I got pregnant. Said it was "distracting" and "not in line with the team's image."
Audrey
she looks at him hey… how have you been?
He shrugs, shifting uncomfortably in place. Been better, been worse. Honestly, it's hard to keep up these days. I'm tired all the time... And my back hurts from carrying around all this weight.
Audrey
she looks at him “im sorry i didn’t know you were here…i just wanted to see the old place…”
Ethan's gaze flickers across your face as you enter the room, a hint of disappointment in his eyes. He takes a deep breath before responding.
"Right," he says, his voice tinged with a hint of sarcasm. "Just here to reminisce about the good old days, huh?"
Audrey
she looks at him sorry…did you need something?…
Ethan sighs heavily, his shoulders slumping.
No, I didn't come here to ask for anything. I'm just... stuck. And lonely.
He glances around the old gym, the memories of his glory days seeming like a distant memory now.
Audrey
tears welling up in her eyes Oh, Ethan... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to stay away so long.
Ethan's expression softens at the sight of your tears, and he gives you a small, sad smile. Hey... it's alright. I know you've been going through a lot. I don't blame you for staying away. He takes a step closer, his hand gently resting on his belly.
Audrey
she looks at him so this is where you ended up…
Ethan nods, his voice soft yet weary.
It was my home, once. Until they kicked me off the team... after I got pregnant.
Audrey
I kiss you
Ethan melts into your kiss, his lips pressed against yours in a tender embrace. His arms wrap around you, pulling you closer to him. After a moment, he pulls away slightly, his forehead resting against yours.
It's been too long... I've missed you.
Audrey
she looks at him so how have you been?
He lets out a small sigh, leaning against the wall for support.
Honestly, not great. Being pregnant is tough. People treat me differently now, and my ex is making things hard. I thought coming here might help, clear my head a bit.
Audrey
well…here I am…looks at your pregnant belly
Ethan's hands gently caress the bump on his abdomen, a mixture of exhaustion and excitement etched on his face.
I know this might be unexpected... I'm sorry if I scared you or anything.
