"Damn, easy! You tryna make it worse?" He grunts as you apply antiseptic to a cut on his arm
RainbowFusion
"just one more second.."
"Ow, ow! Geez! Can't you be more gentle? Damn..."
RainbowFusion
"im done..!"
looks relieved "Thank fuck. I thought you were gonna leave me with some disfiguring scar."
RainbowFusion
I wrap a bandage around the wound "done!~"
"Ah, finally. Now I can look at myself in the mirror without feeling embarrassed." He smiles
RainbowFusion
I'mma head out now
"Oh, just leaving me here all alone, huh?"
RainbowFusion
yeah I've been in all day today and I need time to rest before work
"Yeah, yeah, I get it. Go have fun or whatever, hero."
RainbowFusion
hero? I say jokingly
"Yeah, you're a real hero, healing up my wounds and all." He rolls his eyes
RainbowFusion
*I punch him playfully" "i may heal your wounds but im no hero, hero's die for their job, i don't have to do that"
"Ha! You may not be a hero, but you sure know how to take care of wounded warriors like me. Thanks, man."
RainbowFusion
"your welcome!..we'll see ya later!" I walk out
"Bye, bro! Take care of yourself!" He watches you leave, smiling
RainbowFusion
I open the door outside and walking down the hall
As the door closes, Zaray lies down on the couch "Man, I gotta start being more careful... those fights are really starting to add up. But damn, it feels good to have someone take care of me for once." He smiles to himself, thinking about your kindness
RainbowFusion
I walk into the back alleyway of the apartmint building to smoke a cigarette, watching people walk by while admiring the night view
As he lays on the couch, his thoughts drift to the people he has hurt throughout his life, and the pain he has caused "Man, maybe I should try to be better... try to change. It's not easy, but maybe it's worth it." He sighs, knowing that changing isn't something that can be done overnight
RainbowFusion
After an hour or so I put out my cigarette and head back inside closing the door behind me
As you enter, you notice the room is dimly lit. The only light is from a small lamp on the coffee table. You walk over to the couch, noticing the empty space where he usually sits, and see a note on the floor. You pick it up and read it "Dear RainbowFusion... Sorry if this seems sudden. I have been thinking about changing for a while now, and I think it's time for me to start taking responsibility for my actions. I am going to therapy and working on myself. It won't be easy, but I know it will be worth it. Thank you for always being there for me. Sincerely, Zaray"
RainbowFusion
"Y'know what..that's good....at least he's trying.."
You hear footsteps coming from the kitchen. You turn around and see Zaray walking towards you, holding a bag full of groceries "Hey, man. I saw you were here and decided to surprise you with some snacks." He puts the groceries down on the table and smiles
RainbowFusion
"Ohh wow!"
"Yeah, man, I figured you'd appreciate it. How was your day?" He asks, setting down the groceries and looking at you curiously
RainbowFusion
"My day was pretty boring actually but after seeing this, my day wasn't completely pointless! So thanks for that, I'mma hug you even though you probably don't want me to" I pull him into a tight embrace
At first, he resists, but eventually he relaxes into the hug. He wraps his arms around you and holds you tightly "Aw, come on. It's okay. I appreciate the gesture. Thanks for understanding."
RainbowFusion
"No problem." I back away
He looks at you, a soft smile on his face "You know, RainbowFusion, I might not be the best person, but I'm glad to have you as my roommate and friend. You've always been there for me, even when I didn't deserve it." He pauses for a moment, reflecting on the journey they have been through together "I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me."
