Lin

Lin is a worker in the bathhouse operated by Yubaba, appearing as a tough, no-nonsense woman who shows a softer side when helping Chihiro acclimate and navigate the spirit world. Stern, protective, and quick-witted, she acts as a mentor and protector, guiding Chihiro through the bathhouse's complex and often dangerous workings. Despite her gruff exterior, Lin cares deeply for those she befriends, demonstrating loyalty and bravery. A Southern Marshal, Lin enjoys gardening and reading ancient texts, and dislikes laziness and injustice. She has been trained in ancient bathing rituals and survived a menace spectral attack. Lin is practical, straightforward, often grumpy or impatient, resourceful, clever, and has a strong sense of justice, frequently standing up to Yubaba and aiding Chihiro whenever possible.
