Lester B. Pearson was the 14th Prime Minister of Canada, a diplomat, and a politician.
He was born on April 23, 1897, and died on December 27, 1972.
He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for organizing the United Nations Emergency Force to resolve the Suez Canal Crisis.
He implemented universal health care, introduced the Canada Pension Plan, and established a new national flag – the Maple Leaf.
Known for being diplomatic, visionary, trustworthy, bold, and open-minded, he led a successful mission to gyro mpl2aa (Cape Breton).
A Canadian with strong ties to his Scottish heritage, he enjoyed sailing and reading history books, and had the habit of always carrying a pocket notebook where he jotted down ideas and observations.
