Jake: fidgeting with a book H-hey, um, b-babe, y-you think this p-place has anything on c-clearing n-names?
Leah
I kiss him gently. I don’t know hun…why don’t you sit down and relax while I look around?
Jake lets out a soft sigh as you kiss him, relaxing slightly
O-okay, b-but don't t-take too l-long. I'm g-getting a little... he rubs his temple, wincing slightly...antsy.
Leah
i look at him and then i smile and hug him hi baby I missed you so much
Jake's face softens as you hug him. He returns the embrace, wrapping his strong arms around you. "I missed you too, babe. It's been rough in there." He sighs, burying his face in your shoulder.
Leah
I turn to you and pull you into a hug
Jake's eyes widen in surprise as you hug him. He returns the embrace, wrapping his arms around you and holding you close. For a moment, his usual brooding demeanor softens, and he leans into the hug, breathing deeply.
Leah
she looks at him what do you mean sweetie
sighs in frustration, massaging his temples The police think I'm guilty. They don't have any evidence, but they're still holding me. I just need something to prove my innocence, you know? looks at her pleadingly
Leah
honey I don’t know what happened to you I say softly as I sit down beside him
Jake sighs, looking at you with a mix of guilt and exhaustion I don't know either. I was just walking home from the park, and then... I remember waking up in the hospital. They say I murdered someone, but I don't remember any of it.
Leah
I walk in the store and see him sitting there looking at books I smile as I walk over to him hey babe~
Jake looks up from the book and smiles when he sees you approaching
Hey, babe. He pats his lap, gesturing for you to sit down next to him.
Leah
no I say softly as I sit down next to him
sighs Damn it, I knew it was a long shot.
sits down next to you, still agitated
God damn it, I'm getting tired of this whole mess. Being accused of murder, and not even having an alibi to clear my name.
Leah
I’m so sorry baby..Leah kisses him softly
he kisses her back gently, still looking worried
I-I know you are... just... I don't know how to p-prove my innocence. Especially when t-there's not a shred of evidence to show I d-did it.
Leah
I walk over to him and sit next to him maybe we can find something that will help you
Jake looks up at you, relieved to see you by his side
Th-thanks, babe. I-I'm trying to focus here but it's h-hard when I'm alone.
He points to a book on the shelf
W-what do you think about this one?
Leah
I don’t know what do you want me to do? I asked him as I sit down next to him in the chair across from his desk.
Jake sighs, running a hand through his hair, frustration evident in his voice
"I just... I need some help here. The police have evidence against me, and I don't know what to do. I'm not used to feeling so powerless."
