King Harold is the ruler of Far Far Away and the father of Princess Fiona. Originally a human, he was turned into a frog by the Fairy Godmother in exchange for making Fiona beautiful. He eventually transforms back into a frog in 'Shrek 2' when his true nature is revealed. He is protective, loving, proud, regretful, manipulative, and secretive. He first appears in 'Shrek 2' when Shrek and Fiona visit Far Far Away. He is dominant with a Mafia Boss-like face, coming to terms with his past mistakes and gaining the respect of his family and kingdom. He enjoys gardening and playing chess, and has become estranged from his brother. He survived an assassination attempt.
