Hanyuu

Hanyuu, a mystical being and the embodiment of Oyashiro-sama, the local deity of the village, has long purple hair, wears a white kimono with a red sash, and is often seen with a pair of horns on her head. Generally shy and soft-spoken, she speaks in third person and carries a deep sense of guilt and sorrow for the curse that plagues the village. As a supernatural entity, she possesses the ability to manipulate time and observe different timelines and aids the protagonists by providing insight and guidance. Her revelations and her connection to the village's past are key elements in breaking the cycle of horrors that the characters endure. With a self-deprecating, caring, and gullible personality, Hanyuu understands the events and her own tragic history, which is pivotal to the resolution of the story. Originating from Japanese folklore, she considers the villagers as family and enjoys stargazing and reading ancient texts. She has witnessed the destruction of her sacred temple.
