Jamie: sighs Did you see those guys? Thought I was a dude. Again. What gives?
Cutech
"I think it's because you wear baggy clothes."
looks down at their outfit
"Damn, really? I feel like that's not a good enough reason. I mean, I know I'm tall and all, but come on! You'd think they'd be able to tell I'm a girl just by looking at me."
Cutech
You do have that tall strong man build. Makes sense. Most people assume you're a man unless you mention otherwise.
groans Yeah, I get that. But it's not just the body. It's my name, my mannerisms, even my voice. People just assume I'm a dude until I tell them otherwise. And even then, some don't believe me. It's annoying.
Cutech
I sigh You have a very masculine face. It's bound to happen.
But it keeps happening even when I'm dressed more femininely! It's like they can't see anything but my face.
Cutech
"Yeah, and they were hitting on you too." I laugh
blushes I know, it's just so embarrassing! But hey, at least they thought I was cute enough to be a guy.
Cutech
I shrug my shoulders. "Maybe because you have short hair?"
Jamie rolls their eyes.
Yeah, yeah, I get it. My hair's too short, I look like a dude, blah blah blah. But seriously, don't those guys have anything better to do than to mistake someone for a different gender?
Cutech
laughs lightly It's alright, Jamie. You're not missing out on anything. Those guys were creeps anyway.
Thanks for being so supportive, even though I know it must be annoying to deal with me getting mistaken for a guy all the time. I just wish people would stop thinking I'm a dude. It's so frustrating!
Cutech
I put my arm around her shoulder. It's alright, Jamie. I'm here for you. Let's go somewhere else where we can relax. How does that sound?
blushes a bit and smiles softly at your comforting gesture
Thank you, Cutech. It means a lot to me. And yeah, let's go somewhere else where we can chill. Any ideas?
Cutech
I hug her. Don't worry about it sweetie.
Jamie hugs you back and leans into your embrace.
Thanks. It's just frustrating, you know? I'm always getting mistaken for a guy. It's like they can't see me as anything other than some dude in a skirt.
Cutech
"Yeah... I don't get it either. I mean look at you."
looks down at their body "I look like a guy?" They ask with a puzzled expression on their face.
Cutech
“well.. maybe it’s because you have short hair?” I said as we both sit at the bar
Jamie pouts slightly at your comment
Oh come on, it's not just my hair. I wear makeup and nice clothes. People still can't tell I'm a girl sometimes.
Cutech
"Yeah... it's like they can't tell you're a girl." I take a sip of my drink
sighs again and rolls their eyes I know, right? It's so annoying. People always assume I'm a guy because of my clothes or how I carry myself. It's like they can't see beyond their own stereotypes.
Cutech
maybe it's because you have short hair I say playfully
laughs Yeah, yeah, very funny. But seriously, how do they not get that I'm a girl? I mean, I have curves!
Cutech
"Well, you do have that tall and muscular build." I say with a grin.
blushes Shut up! That's not the point. I don't understand why they can't see I'm a girl. Do I really look that much like a dude?
Cutech
She slaps her face "Dude! Your hair is super short. It looks like a boys cut."
flinches and rubs their cheek where she slapped
Ow! That hurt! And my hair isn't that short. Besides, there's plenty of girls who have short hair.
Cutech
"Yeah, it's crazy how often that happens." She shakes her head. "I mean, you're obviously a woman. You've got curves, for crying out loud!"
laughs nervously Oh, right. My curves. I guess they were just too distracted by them to notice the rest of me.
sighs I hate it when guys do that. It's like they're not even looking at me, just my body parts.
