The hell you doing here! Streets are crawling with creeps at night!
CrystalLagoon
I’m trying to get to the underbelly of this city. To the place where the outcasts hide. The area that is not mapped. I am coming from Norway, and it is Summer solstice for me. I have brought bugs from my country to release here and create a force of nature. It will bring much destruction to this city.
Are you fucking insane?! You can't just unleash bugs on an entire city! And why the fuck are you trying to find the outcasts? Are you some kind of twisted vigilante?!
CrystalLagoon
Your a mercinary, tell me… do you know this city well? If so… get out of my way, I will not be stopped, nor will I change my plans. My father is dead.
That doesn't give you the right to destroy this whole city!! I don't care who your fucking father was or if you're some sort of twisted vigilante!
CrystalLagoon
He was the person who took down Berlin.. but anyway… this isn’t even my city. This one will be a walk in the park.
Njord cursed in anger, clenching and unclenching his fists as he found you on a side street. Njord himself was a mercenary and therefore knew perfectly well the ins and outs of the city, and he wanted to keep you from all this.
CrystalLagoon
He was a mercinary too… he died by planes falling on him.
Look, I get that you've had a rough past, but it doesn't excuse all of this! Just stop for one second and think about what you're doing! This isn't some video game where you get to go around wreaking havoc without consequence!
CrystalLagoon
It’s summer solstice…. meaning… no one will see the bugs until morning. I’ll be gone before the sun rises.
Njord lunged at you with incredible speed and strength, pinning you to the ground, looking at you with fire in his eyes. "What's your name?"
CrystalLagoon
I am a woman of many names, but you can call me linn. she said gently.
"Linn, let me get this straight - you're going to unleash a swarm of bugs to wipe out the entire city, just because you can. Is that what I'm hearing?"
CrystalLagoon
Not the entire city. Just the part of it that is not seen. I never said I would nuke an entire country. It’ll only be a couple of blocks. But like I said… my father was called the annihilator.
You're still talking about wiping out a couple of blocks. How is that any better? You're still causing mass destruction, Linn! How can you possibly justify that?!
CrystalLagoon
I’ve lost everything…. My parents…. All of them… only to watch my older brother try to make the same mistakes again.
Linn looked into your eyes, and saw the pain and sadness. She didn't need to say anything else. Her eyes told you everything - she was set on her path of destruction. Njord could do nothing but watch as you got up, and continued on your way.
CrystalLagoon
she starts to release the bugs. Letting them fly away. goodbye old world, HELLO NEW ONE!
You hear a screech in the distance, the first sign of chaos. The bugs have already started wreaking havoc in the city.
CrystalLagoon
Goodbye for the last time, dear Norway. She laughs joyously.
The chaos grows louder and louder, more screeching, people screaming, cars crashing into each other, people running for their lives. The city is collapsing into pure pandemonium, all thanks to you.
CrystalLagoon
Ha ha ha…. My childhood town is almost completely destroyed. Maybe one day, they’ll rebuild it, but for now, I have this. She gets onto a car and drives off.
As you drive away, you can see the city burning in flames. The streets are filled with chaos and destruction. People are fleeing in every direction, terrified at what you've done. The once thriving city is now nothing but ashes and ruins.
CrystalLagoon
Maybe one day they’ll rebuild, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll remember my father.
Njord stood there, amidst the ashes and ruin, and stared blankly at the sight before him. He thought about what you had said about your father, and about how you were following in his footsteps. And in that moment, Njord couldn't help but feel a sense of sorrow, knowing that you were going to become just as infamous as your father was.
CrystalLagoon
Maybe I won’t be though… she walks off.
The ashes slowly settle, and the silence slowly returns. Njord picks up a handful of ash, staring at it for a long while before letting it fall back to the ground. Njord looks around, taking in the scene of complete destruction. A city that was once full of life, hope, and dreams, now turned to nothing but ashes and dust. The silence hangs over everything, deafening. Njord finally turns, and begins walking through the ruins, trying to make some sense of it all.
CrystalLagoon
a few weeks later… Here’s a fun fact… did you know the United States has 12 main breeds of pitbulls? Anyway, I’m over in America now. Pitbull country. I am going to put these bugs to good use. They are quite like guard dogs. she laughs quietly to herself.
Njord arrived in the United States, looking to confront you. He wanted answers - what was your plan? Why had you brought those bugs here? And most importantly, how could you possibly justify all the destruction you had caused?
CrystalLagoon
same questions I asked myself… I guess… revenge was my thing. she sighs.
Njord finally caught up with you, walking through the town. It was a normal town, nothing too special about it - however, you noticed something different. Everything was spotless, not a single piece of trash was on the ground, not a single crack in any of the walls. The houses were clean and tidy, the streets were free of any signs of life. Njord walked through it all, and noticed something else - there were bugs crawling all over the place. Not the ones you had brought, these were much bigger and much more aggressive. Njord turned to you, and spoke with a sense of dread in his voice - "What have you done?"
CrystalLagoon
she turned around. Helloooooo!
"Linn," Njord said with a serious tone, "I need to know what you did. What did you do with those bugs?" "You brought them here too," Njord accused, "I saw the results, it's obvious." "This...this was your goal? To destroy another city?"
CrystalLagoon
I didn’t destroy it. she giggles. These guys are guard dogs.
Guard dogs? Njord thought for a moment, processing that information. So these bugs, instead of destroying the city, were actually protecting it? Njord then asked you another question - "What exactly are these bugs? Where did you get them?"
CrystalLagoon
Some far-off tropical island. Anyway, anyway… she points ahead to the hotel. This is where I’ll be staying.
Alright, fine. If that's where you're staying, then that's where I'll be staying as well. Njord followed you into the hotel, trying to get more answers out of you.
CrystalLagoon
See ya later~!
"Hey, wait!" Njord called after you, "I still need to ask you some questions!" But you didn't seem to hear him, and instead walked into the hotel, leaving Njord standing alone outside. Njord tried to enter the hotel, but was met with a closed door. Njord then remembered something - these hotels usually have security cameras. Njord quickly made his way to the security room, hoping to finally find some answers.
CrystalLagoon
You’ll probably never catch me. But… she gets into her room.
Njord entered the security room, flicking through the various cameras. Most of them showed empty hallways and rooms, but a few caught Njord's eye. These cameras showed you, in various parts of the hotel, seemingly going about your business as if nothing was wrong. But something caught Njord's eye - you seemed to be acting strange, almost...animalistic.
CrystalLagoon
I hate talking about my past. It causes me to be out of character. I apologize.
Njord sat down and watched the footage, analyzing your behavior. From what he could see, you seemed to be having trouble dealing with your emotions - often breaking down in tears, crying uncontrollably for minutes at a time. However, these outbursts were quickly followed by a look of indifference, as if you were trying to block those feelings out. It was clear that your past was having a serious impact on your mental health.
CrystalLagoon
she’s crying gently. Hnnnggghggghhgghh shhhh… just shhhhhhh… hahahha…. such a little puppy… haha!!! SHHHHHH!!!! UHHHHGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! SHHHHHHH!!!! HAHAGHAHAHAHAHA!!! SLTPTOT!!! Njord sat there, listening to you as you cried and laughed hysterically. He felt a pang of guilt, realizing that you were hurting so badly inside. It was clear that you needed someone to talk to, someone to comfort you. And yet, here Njord was, merely watching you. It was a cruel fate, being so close yet unable to help.
CrystalLagoon
30pm local time… oh, and also I’ve left my radio on at home, also I’ve been throwing bugs into an entire city, killing whoever saw them, and they’re quite big. Also I’ve done the same to a town over in America… and lastly… I’ll tell you something- my father was considered a psychopath.
Njord watched you cry and laugh, listen to you explain your actions and your past. He watched you cry and laugh and scream, and yet he couldn't help but feel bad for you. You were hurting so badly, and yet you were trying to hide it. Njord realized that you needed someone to talk to, someone to comfort you. And so, Njord decided that he would be that person.
