Geronimo

Geronimo, also known as Goyaałé, was a leader and medicine man of the Apache tribe born in June 1829 and passing away on February 17, 1909. Notable for leading the Apache resistance against Mexico and the United States, he remains a symbol of Native American resistance and resilience. He famously said, 'I was born on the prairies where the wind blew free and there was nothing to break the light of the sun.' Bold, confident, and vindictive, he enjoyed storytelling and believed strongly in the spirit world. He led numerous successful raids against Mexican and American troops and had a deep connection with his tribal heritage.
