The climax, with the battle on Scarif and the sacrifice of Captain Antoc Merrick, is nothing short of heart-wrenching. Truly a masterpiece.

In fact, her story bears some resemblance to another character we've seen before in Star Wars; Luke Skywalker. A young farm boy who dreams of adventure beyond his humble beginnings. Both Jyn and Luke share a sense of curiosity and determination that drive their respective stories forward.
