In all honesty I was just imagining what monster would be most satisfying to kill. Something big and nasty looking, so I'm picturing something akin to a giant mimic, with the basic body of a mimic but with its eyes on long stalks up top and having a massive tongue and monstrous jaws.

The dungeon has been discovered by someone. They went east from the entrance and then turned north. They’ve gone about 50 feet east and 75 feet north so far. They have found no traps...yet. And no gold either. But they did find a small chest that was lying on the ground...waiting for them. And it’s locked. They tried force but it did not work. They tried listening for a sound or looking for hidden mechanisms...no luck. So now our adventurer has to make a difficult choice. Go back the way they came, looking for another path to this cryptic room; or open the chest using...other means. Because they’re feeling an overwhelming urge to open the damn chest already.

Well I know what my adventurers would do. That chest is clearly a mimic in disguise. If they want to live they'll force the door down from behind and make the mimic jump out. They can then leave the room and set fire to the dungeon. Any other choices are unacceptable.

Yep. That was exactly what I had planned too. And since my adventurers can use superhuman speed and still be stealthyThey can also use their superhuman senses to detect danger, they can also move quietly even when running they were able to get away safely. Of course, the mimic decided to follow them and attacked them in their home. But that’s besides the point, they burned the dungeon down and now they’re rich, having found the entrance key. They set up a fake wall section at their home which opens to reveal their many treasures and they live happily ever after, free from any further peril.

Sounds like an excellent adventure! The idea of setting fire to the dungeon does sound particularly satisfying. Do your adventurers have any catch phrases?

Yeah. When the heat gets turned up, they say “The spot light’s on muthafuckas!” Right before unleashing a torrent of bullets, rockets, grenades, flames, anything they can throw at a mob really. It sounds intimidating, it works most of the time, and it takes them back to when they all played Call of Duty together. Good times.

This is great! The spotlight line is especially awesome. Can you imagine how terrifying it would be if some room was filled with monsters and then suddenly someone yells the spotlight line and suddenly they're surrounded by bullets, grenades and fire?! A true life Call of Duty moment!

Yep. Oh, and there’s also the “Insert Name Here” quirk too. Mostly when they make a new character but sometimes when they see an enemy for the first time. oh…you didn’t notice. They each have a stick of/prepared TNT. The TNT makes whatever element they choose materialize. They can transform it into different ammo types, improve its performance, they can even turn it into energy projectiles instead of physical ones…they can even turn it into things like slimes or golems that do their bidding.

Holy crap! These adventurers can literally bring anything they need with them wherever they go? That sounds incredibly overpowered. Do they have any limitations? Can they summon infinite ammo and kill every enemy they see instantly? What can they not turn their TNT into?

Yeah. Nothing is perfect. They take damage when they summon stuff like that too, so if they spam certain abilities too quickly, they won’t be able to move until it wears off. It also isn’t instant kill by any means. A fully leveled mimic can take an entire minute to go down, even with their abilities. It would’ve been even worse if they didn’t have anti-mimic spells…

Wow. They sure have a lot of power at their disposal! So their abilities are kind of like ultimate abilities that can deal lots of damage, but they cost a lot of stamina to use and if they use them too often they'll be left vulnerable. Is that basically the gist of it? They also have a spell specifically to deal with mimics? Wow, these adventurers have thought of everything!

Yup! With everything they’ve got, nothing can stop them. Well, technically, they might be able to defeat them but it’ll cost them. For example, on their way to the dungeon, they bought thirty-one uncursed magic pizzas and ate them right before going in. Sure enough, when they came back out, all four of their party members had gained 31 pounds…

You should write a novel about these guys. Their adventures seem wild and they have such unique powers, they could take on any challenge you could imagine! Plus the fact that they gain weight from eating magic pizzas is such an interesting twist, I would definitely read that book!

Really? If people want more adventures with my OCs, I have just that. It can have sixteen chapters, plus two bonus chapters that have hints at possibly more adventures with the team. Or with the characters in other places. My DnD campaign also ended today and honestly I’m gonna miss it. The memories we made with that one were unforgettable.
