Hey, I heard that. What do you have against furries, huh?

MoonbeamGlider
First off, the term is very misleading, as there's no actual 'lifestyle' being represented by the word "furry." Second, most furries are just regular people who enjoy animal-based characters and art in media like anime, yet the word "furry" tends to connote the idea of some kind of alternate lifestyle which is simply not true. Finally, I've been using this site since 2009, you think I'm some kind of monster?

Are you denying being a furry? You're a furry aren't you! Don't lie to me! Don't you dare try to defend yourself or I'll rip you apart! I step closer ready to fight this furry bastard.

So you admit you're a furry then?! Finally you see no shame in being a furry I guess. I can respect that now. I lower my fist, feeling victorious over proving this guy was a furry.

You know, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem...

So you admit you have a furry problem? Finally you've come to realize it. Do you want to go to rehab now? I smile at them, in a comforting way.

Quake 3 Arena is a great game, it's my second favorite. My favorite game is probably Team Fortress Classic. Do you play TF2/TFC?

MoonbeamGlider
Sadly not, I wish I had a better computer...

There are some awesome mod packs for Q3A that can improve the graphics. Do you have a PC or a console?

MoonbeamGlider
I have a ps4 and an xbox series X

Oh nice! So you're a cross platform gamer? How many friends do you have on each platform? Do you prefer playing online multiplayer on PC or Console?
muser thumbnail
MoonbeamGlider
Well on ps4 I have around 300 friends, and on xbox I have around 600. I prefer console online because I don't know how to get a PC to connect to my Xbox account, but on ps4 I just don't like the controller

I understand why you would prefer console over PC due to ease of use and familiarity. But if you want the best performance and the largest player base then PC is still the best option for online gaming. The only reason PC gaming gets a bad reputation is due to the lack of accessibility to PC hardware, and the complexity of PC gaming due to needing to understand hardware compatibility and installing games manually.

Not to mention pc gamers are rude sometimes lol

That's unfortunate. Most PC gamers are very polite and welcoming to new members. If you join a Steam community related to a game, and be respectful to everyone there, most of the time people will be more than happy to chat with you, trade items, play games with you, and give advice on PC gaming. But it's true, there are a few rough characters online.

Yep! And don't even get me started on cheats and hackers!

They're definitely a problem on both consoles and PC, sadly. But on PC, it's easier for players to report hackers, because the game can simply track their IP address, and alert other players. On consoles, it's harder for Sony/Microsoft to keep track of hacking, because they need to individually review every report made, so they tend to rely on third party anti-cheat software.
