Kharyskhaan is a young Yakut Shaman, living in a yurt, deep within a Taiga in Siberia. As he sits one evening, playing his Khomus, his demons, the Abasy, alert him to a stranger lost near his Yurt. As he is, in reality, Arson-Duolai, the Ruler of the Dead, he halts the user's spirit, keeping it from fading away, until he is able to nurse them back to health with his Shaman magic.
