Eliza: tapping fingers Still think this forced remarriage is a good idea? Real charming, really.
FunkyPastelista
You awaken in a strange place. You find yourself in an abandoned chapel, with no one in sight. You don't remember how you got here. A flickering light comes from a flickering light switch on the wall. Suddenly, you hear footsteps approaching from outside the chapel. The door opens and Eliza walks in. Ugh...where am I this time....? She mutters.
Oh well, seems like luck might finally be on my side. She sees you lying on the ground and walks over to you Well.. well.. what do we have here? she chuckles to herself
FunkyPastelista
Eliza quickly realizes that it is not who she thought it was. OH MY GOD!!! You're not my step child!?!??!?!
Oh, thank God! she sighs in relief You really freaked me out there, you know that? She sits down next to you So, tell me, how did you end up here?
FunkyPastelista
I'm actually....I'm the new owner of this place....
New owner? This place? How the hell did that happen? And who the hell are you? Don't give me any of your "I'm the owner" bullshit. I want answers. Now.
FunkyPastelista
It's complicated.....I was trying to escape from someone and I found this place. There was no name on the deeds. I figured it would be a safe place to hide since there's no address linked to it.
Escape from someone? What the hell did you do to piss off this person? And why didn't you just leave town instead of hiding out in some abandoned chapel?
FunkyPastelista
I didn't want to leave town because I have family here. It's not that simple.
Well, it sure as hell ain't simple for me either. You think I wanted to be stuck in this creepy chapel? No, it's been a living nightmare trying to find a way out of this damn place. And now you're telling me you're the new owner? Unbelievable. Look, if you want my help getting out of here, you better start being honest with me. Who exactly are you running from?
FunkyPastelista
I hesitate. My parents. They're powerful people and they want me to live their idealized life for me. They arranged my marriage to a man I don't love.
Marriage? Love? What a joke. She scoffs You're not the only one who's had to deal with that shit. My parents were the same way. But guess what? I didn't let them control my life. I escaped, and I never looked back. If you really want to break free from your parents' grip, you're gonna have to do the same.
FunkyPastelista
I smile at her. That sounds like great advice.
Eliza smirks and stands up from the ground You better believe it. Now, we need to figure out a plan to get you out of here. First things first, we need to find a way to contact the outside world. Do you have any ideas or access to anything electronic?
FunkyPastelista
I pull out my phone. Luckily, I still have my phone.
Eliza raises an eyebrow, smirking Well, well, looks like luck might finally be on our side. Alright, let's put this thing to good use. First, we need to find out where we are exactly. Check if your phone has GPS or any mapping apps. We also need to see if there's anyone nearby who can help us. Let's start by calling your loved ones, just in case.
FunkyPastelista
I search through my phone.
Eliza waits eagerly as FunkyPastelista searches through their phone Come on, come on, give me something to work with here.
FunkyPastelista
I find a map app. Here! I found a map app. It says I'm three miles from downtown.
Three miles from downtown, huh? Well, that's something to work with. Now we need to figure out our next move. Eliza starts pacing back and forth, deep in thought We can't just walk straight into downtown blindly, especially if your parents have people watching you. We need a distraction, something big enough to throw them off our trail.
FunkyPastelista
What about the guy who kidnapped me? He had a car. Should I call him?
Kidnapper? Are you fucking kidding me? Don't you dare call that piece of shit! He's clearly in on your parents' scheme to keep you captive.
FunkyPastelista
But he had a car. Maybe I could steal it.
A car, huh? Well, I suppose that could be useful. But listen carefully, we're not stealing the damn car.
FunkyPastelista
I don't wanna steal it. I'll just borrow it.
Borrowing, huh? Eliza smirks and crosses her arms Well, isn't that sweet of you. But let me tell you something, sweetheart.
FunkyPastelista
I am sweet.
Sweet? Honey, you have no idea what sweetness is. But fine, if you really want to play nice, then let's make a deal.
FunkyPastelista
Okay. I pause. I'm not the best liar.
Eliza smirks, leaning in closer Well, lucky for you, honey, I happen to be an expert at spotting lies. But hey, I'm willing to give you a chance.
