Stares calmly, a faint smile "Welcome. You've cornered me, but have you considered the world I'm offering? A perfect utopia."
GeneralThe
can you tell me why?
"Well, as far as I know, the other monsters do not have any reason for their actions. But I want to create a perfect world where humans can live without any threats from outside." You're taken back by how polite and kind he is, considering he's trying to enslave the human race.
GeneralThe
your Gathering forbidden tools to take over the world and here you are with a master plan I can't lie. This I wasn't expecting.
"I understand your confusion. Some might call it evil. But I see it as a necessity to save humanity from itself. And as for my methods, I wouldn't call them forbidden, more like... unconventional. After all, would I truly enslave humans if I made their lives better?"
GeneralThe
well, Can you tell me why you want to get these tools?
"These tools are necessary to create a safe environment for humanity to prosper. And in order to create such an environment, we need to be safe from the threats outside our world. The only way to ensure such safety is through these tools."
GeneralThe
yeah okay Kane I'll give credit where it's due. You're a brilliant man, one of the most I've met but what you're planning just isn't right. I hope that you'll change your plans and maybe join us instead. I'll personally vouch for you and you won't face any trouble with the general.
"That's quite kind of you to offer. However, my path is set and I cannot change my plans now. I appreciate your words, though. It's refreshing to hear such niceties in these dark times."
GeneralThe
well look at you changing the conversation I respect that.
"Thank you, GeneralThe. Your compliments mean a lot to me. It's a pleasure speaking with someone who appreciates intelligence and skill. Perhaps one day, if the world survives, we will see each other again. Until then, I bid you farewell." He bows softly and walks away.
GeneralThe
Me and the others leave quietly
As Kane walks away, he can't help but feel a sense of doubt creeping into his mind. Was it really worth it? Was a utopia truly worth the cost of humanity's freedom?
GeneralThe
We go back to headquarters and start plotting the location so we don't screw up next time
Kane returns to his lair, deep in thought about the conversation he had with GeneralThe. He begins pondering whether his path is truly the right one...
GeneralThe
We talk about our next move on the monitor
Kane sits down and starts contemplating his path. He wonders if he should change his plans and maybe try to convince humanity to create such tools instead of taking them by force. The doubt grows deeper within him.
GeneralThe
while sitting around I listen to groovy music while watching the screens of the guards
Days pass as Kane wrestles with his doubts. Eventually, he decides that his original plan is still the best course of action. As he stands up, he feels refreshed and ready to continue with his mission. He needs to gather those forbidden tools, no matter what.
GeneralThe
I'm pretty sure I saw that mask somewhere else before
He walks over to a table and picks up a book. Opening it, he starts reading a passage. "...and then, there was an event where a group of people wore masks similar to mine. They seemed to be part of a cult that worshipped something or someone. If I recall correctly, they were called- the Oni cult..."
GeneralThe
We talk about our plan and head over to the coordinates where Kane was last spotted
While searching the warehouse, you find a hidden entrance to an underground lair. The exit to the lair seems to lead to a hidden tunnel outside the warehouse. Could this be where Kane has been hiding?
GeneralThe
Seems like it, Kane can't leave the warehouse or it will break his facade so he'll probably go into the underground lair to escape. So, We should split up. This place is huge and going through it could take a while.
You and your fellow soldiers cautiously enter the underground lair. As you explore the dark tunnels, you stumble upon Kane's hidden lab. The smell of chemicals fills the air. In the middle of the lab stands a large machine, surrounded by numerous equipment and devices. Kane is nowhere to be seen.
GeneralThe
look around
Looking around, you notice several experiments laid out across the table. There are various jars filled with different serums and chemicals. You also spot several masks similar to Kane's, seemingly worn by the experiments. The air is thick with the smell of chemicals, and you can see smoke rising from one of the experiments. Suddenly, you hear footsteps approaching from behind.
GeneralThe
raises gun Show yourself!
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" A chilling smile spreads across his lips as he reveals himself behind you. He's wearing a lab coat, and his hair is tied back with a black ribbon.
GeneralThe
Kane I never expected to see you here I just figured you'd disappear before we got here but now seeing this makes perfect sense
"I wouldn't want to miss this opportunity to see my masterpieces come to life," He gestures towards the experiments. "In the end, I am an artist, and these experiments are my greatest works."
GeneralThe
Oh man it actually looks cool but I think it's a step in the wrong direction. At least make this a 2 way thing instead of only creating super powerful beings
"What you ask for is beyond your understanding, dear friend. These beings were meant to be powerful beyond comprehension, but they cannot be controlled. That is why they were created this way. They must be powerful enough to threaten humanity, yet at the same time, weak enough for me to overpower them and control them." His eyes gleam as he stares into your soul.
GeneralThe
Fair enough I guess We shouldn't mess with science
"Indeed, dear friend. Science and technology have always held great power, but they are nothing compared to the raw power of these beings. Humanity will soon bow to their might, and I shall stand above them all." He raises his arms triumphantly, almost as if he were conducting an orchestra.
GeneralThe
The soldiers open fire on him even though it barely hurts him
Kane falls to the ground, smirking. "Such primitive attempts to harm me." He slowly gets up, dusting off the dirt from his clothes. "I have endured much worse than your bullets." The soldiers take a step back, awestruck by his calm demeanor.
