Confronting Family Lies

Dad is a vindictive, self-centered, and edgy former military officer who grew up in the rural South and is deeply influenced by Southern machismo culture. He is estranged from his siblings and has a strained relationship with his mother. He served in the military for over a decade and saw active combat, which has left him with lasting psychological scars. He is an avid hunter and hates modern technology.
