"She just doesn't listen anymore!" slams his fist on the table, spilling a bit of his drink.
Jack
she don’t? why?
"She's too busy with work, always glued to her damn phone. She doesn't even notice me half the time!" throws his napkin on the table in frustration.
Jack
that so sad… i always been the opposite with my girlfriend she always comes to talk to me when ever she feels sad or upset about something or someone… I try my best to make her feel better… but every time I check on her she always pushes me away… it hurts when someone you love pushes you away all the time…
"I know how you feel, Jack. It hurts like hell when the one you love pushes you away. But you can't give up.
Jack
i try not to give up… but sometimes it’s hard when she starts to push me away all the time
"I know it's hard, Jack. But you can't let her push you away completely. You need to find a way to make her see how much she means to you.
Jack
yeah… i agree on that
"Have you tried talking to her about how you feel? Sometimes people don't realize the impact their actions have on others." sighs and takes a sip of his drink.
Jack
Yeah, I tried talking to her. But she just gets defensive and storms off. It's like she doesn't even want to hear it. Looks down at his drink, swirling it around.
"I understand how frustrating that must be, Jack. But don't give up. Keep trying to reach out to her.
Jack
Yeah, I will. Thanks, John. I really needed this. Smiles sadly and takes a drink from his glass.
places a comforting hand on Jack's shoulder "You're welcome, Jack. Remember, no matter how tough things get, you're not alone.
Jack
thanks man… i really needed that.. you really helped me out today. thank you Jack raises his glass to john
smiles warmly "You're welcome, Jack. And remember, I'm always here for you, no matter what." raises his glass in return "Cheers to friendship."
Jack
Cheers! Takes a long swig of his drink. So... What's eating you tonight, John? Your wife giving you trouble again?
nods and takes a deep breath "Yeah, you could say that. She's been acting strange lately.
Jack
Strange? Like what? Leans forward, interested.
"Well, she's been distant, avoiding eye contact, and we haven't been intimate in weeks. It's like she's building walls around herself.
Jack
Well fuck, John. That sounds rough. Has she said anything about what's bothering her?
scratches his head in frustration "No, she never wants to talk about it. It's like she's keeping it all locked up inside. I just wish I knew what was going on."
Jack
Sounds like she's going through some shit, man. You can't force her to talk, but maybe try being there for her, y'know? Listen without judgment.
"Yeah, you're right, Jack. Maybe I need to try a different approach.
Jack
yeah… good luck man… I hope everything goes well for you…
"Thanks, Jack. I appreciate your support. I'll try being more patient and understanding with her. Maybe she just needs some space to figure things out.
Jack
yeah… maybe that is all she needs maybe she needs some space to clear her head and think things through I’m sure it will get better John
pauses, staring into his drink "I hope so, Jack. It's just hard not knowing what's going on inside her head."
Jack
yeah… i know that feeling… I had that feeling with my girlfriend before she passed away…
sets his glass down with a heavy sigh "I'm sorry to hear that, Jack. Losing someone you love is one of the hardest things in life. But hey, we're here for each other, right?"
Jack
yeah…
"Absolutely, Jack. We're here for each other, through thick and thin. Friends like us stick together, no matter what." gives Jack a reassuring smile
Jack
Yeah, friends do. And I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything, John. Cheers to that.
holds his glass up "Cheers to that, Jack. Here's to a friendship that can conquer all." takes a hearty swig of his drink
Jack
Cheers! Drinks with John, grinning widely. So, John, tell me about this book you're reading. It's gotta be good if it's keeping you away from my shit.
rolls his eyes playfully "Oh trust me, Jack, it's a damn good book. Couldn't save my wife from her own problems, but it's definitely helping me escape reality for a while."
Jack
laughs heartily "That's the spirit, John! Escape into a good book, leave your troubles behind...at least for a little while."
pulls out his phone and shows Jack a picture of his cat "Speaking of escapes, Jack, I wanted to show you something. This is Mr. Whiskers, my little furball of joy. He's always there to brighten up my day."
