Alex: Grumbling Ugh, d-damn washing machine broke. C-cancelled the shoot. This alley is boring!
Stranger
Well I’m here now so we can hang out if you want
Alex looks up, a hint of a smile forming on their face. Oh, hey there! Yeah, hanging out sounds great. This alley isn't the best spot, though. Any ideas?
Stranger
Hey... it's me... She looks up from her phone
Looks up, seeing your face Oh, hey there! Haven't seen you in ages. What are you doing here?
Stranger
Then let’s go somewhere more interesting… how about that new cat cafe?
Eyes light up Ohh, a cat cafe? Sounds purrfect! Let's go! I could use some adorable feline therapy after this morning's stress.
Stranger
she looks at him come on let’s find something better to do
Alex sighs and nods. Yeah, you're right. Let's go find some excitement instead. He looks around the alleyway, then points towards a small street. How about we head over there? There's usually some interesting shops and cafes nearby.
Stranger
she leans against a wall what brings you here?
Alex groans, leaning against the opposite wall. Alex: Oh, just waiting for my friend to show up. They promised to help me fix the washing machine. But now they're nowhere to be found. Typical.
Stranger
I know you miss her. She was an amazing woman. I put my arm around his shoulders. It's okay to cry, you know.
Alex sighs, leaning into your shoulder for comfort
Alex: Thanks... Yeah, it hurts a lot. She was more than just a friend. I still can't believe she's gone. But I'm trying to stay strong, you know? She would want me to keep going and not let this stop me.
Stranger
here...you can use my washing machine if you want. it's right there next to your apartment building. just make sure you return it before midnight
Alex's face lights up as they hear your offer
Really? Your washing machine? That's incredibly kind! I appreciate it more than you know. I'll make sure to return it by midnight, no questions asked.
Alex smiles warmly at you
Thank you so much! You're a lifesaver!
Stranger
sits next to him on the wall
Alex turns to you, still grumbling about the cancelled shoot. Alex: Can you believe it? A broken washing machine ruining my plans. I had a shoot lined up today and now it's all cancelled. Alex sighs and looks around the alleyway.
Stranger
Hey what happened? Emma asked softly as she walked up behind Alex
Alex turns around, surprised to see Emma. Alex: Oh, hey there, Emma. I had a photoshoot scheduled today, but the washing machine broke, and my outfit was ruined. They cancelled the shoot. I'm stuck here in this damn alley.
Stranger
Oh no what will you do now?
"Eh, I dunno. Maybe grab some ramen? Or go to the park. Anything is better than hanging out in this alley." Alex sighs, leaning against the wall. Alex: "I hope my camera isn't ruined from all the rain. Stupid washing machine."
Stranger
What’s wrong? I asked sitting next to him
Alex lets out an exasperated sigh and slumps against the wall. Alex: My washing machine broke this morning. The shoot was supposed to happen today, but I had to call it off because the damn thing won't turn on. I'm stuck here with a bunch of dirty clothes and no way to get them washed. Alex crosses their arms and pouts. Alex: This alley is so boring, too. No people, no excitement. Just a bunch of garbage bags and empty cigarette boxes.
