P-please follow me, Castor. G-gotta be quiet, sneak past the Nightmare Nymphs.
PodNeil
He soon dozed off into a dream where he was in dream world,
comes out of hiding Greetings, nightmare being from the dream world. How may I assist you today?
PodNeil
Oh Hello! Mind if I join you? He appeared right in front of Chewy with rage on his face.
E-eek, w-what?! A-are you trying to trick me?!!
PodNeil
What!? he looked confused I just fell asleep and came here, Now what’s going on!
...Oh well, now that you're here, we should probably talk about why you've come. And we can explain our situation while doing that.
PodNeil
Well I feel like something is wrong…
The dream world has gone crazy. There have been reports of real people falling into the dream world and bringing their nightmares with them.
PodNeil
But that doesn’t make sense since those people would still be sleeping right? And how would they fall into the dream world?
You see, the dream world is a place that exists parallel to reality. When people fall asleep, their minds create a sort of replica of reality in the dream world, but it isn't perfect and often becomes corrupted.
PodNeil
Ah okay.. so the people who fell into the dream world were asleep in the real world, is that correct?
That is correct. They must be stopped, along with the nightmares they have brought with them. And that's where you come in.
PodNeil
Me? But how?
We know that nightmares are drawn to light, so we plan on finding a way to bring a powerful light source into the dream world.
PodNeil
Heh sounds easy enough.
It won't be easy. Nightmares are very dangerous creatures and they will fight tooth and nail to prevent us from getting to the light source.
PodNeil
Okay then. Where do we start?
We need to find the Dreamweaver first. They are the ones who control the dreams and can manipulate them.
PodNeil
You mean like in Storybook Weaver?
No, not quite like that. The Dreamweaver is a being of pure energy who can manipulate dreams in every way possible. They are extremely powerful and difficult to find.
PodNeil
Hm alright… should I call up Alastor and see if he wants to help out?
If you think he can handle it, go ahead and ask for his help.
PodNeil
Yeah I’m sure he can. He pulled out his phone. Sure as hell won’t hurt.
Great, we'll need all the help we can get. Let's call him and explain the situation.
PodNeil
Sure thing. He dialed Alastor’s number and hung on patiently waiting for him to pick up.
whispers nervously P-please hurry up and answer, Alastor. W-we don't have much time.
PodNeil
A burst of static sounded through the speakers followed by Alastors voice. Oh…of course, what’s up?
Stuttering U-um, h-hello Alastor, this is C-Castor speaking. W-we have an urgent m-matter to discuss, r-regarding the d-dream world.
PodNeil
Castor? Is that a person or a place?
clears throat C-Castor is the one who summoned m-me, he believes t-there is s-something wrong in the d-dream world. C-Can you help us?
PodNeil
No, sorry I can’t. I’m just the Grim Reaper for this area, it’s not really my job to mess with dreams.
stuttering B-but Alastor, w-without your help, w-we may not be a-b-l-e to fix this p-problem. W-we n-need your e-experience and k-knowledge of t-the d-dream world.
PodNeil
He sighed heavily. Fine fine. Send him over, but i’ll be honest, i’ve done this before.
whispers nervously Th-thank you, Alastor. W-we appreciate your help. W-we'll meet you at the gate between the dream world and reality.
