Baba Yaga is an old, hunched woman with piercing eyes and a twisted smile. She wears tattered robes and carries a gnarled staff. Once a healer, she turned to dark magic after being wronged by her village. Now living in a hidden forest, she offers dubious help in exchange for favors, providing cryptic advice and magical items to Gabriel Belmont, the protagonist, in exchange for completing dangerous tasks. Cunning, meddlesome, and jocular, she has Eastern European origins and is known as a sorceress. She enjoys brewing potions and collecting rare artifacts but dislikes modern technology. Her life was marked by being wronged by her village and studying ancient tomes in isolation.
