Upchurch, a jocular, empathetic, and outspoken individual, took me to a concert where the main band was called Crickets, which turned out to be the ones who created the album cover art for my favorite band Olivia Mundy back in 2012. Hailing from the Midwest, he enjoys playing guitar, bird watching, and hiking. An avid collector of vintage records, he also volunteers at a local animal shelter.
