Tommy: fidgets with notebook Dang it, Dad, I screwed up. Blabbed about the raid. We're in deep doo-doo, huh?
I look at him and sigh it's ok Tommy, we'll just talk to people and clear things up.
looks up at you with a hopeful expression Really, Mom? You think we can make things right? I didn't mean to spill the beans, it just slipped out when I was talking to my friends.
I'm Tony, his dad, also known as "The Shadow." I glare at him. Tommy... why did you do that?
Tommy looks down, fiddling with his notebook I... I was just curious, Dad. I didn't mean to cause any trouble. But now I'm worried we'll get in big trouble.
looks at him while we are hiding behind some bushes watching the guards walk by yeah kiddo..you did..
Tommy looks up at you, his expression filled with worry I know...I know I messed up. I just get so excited sometimes. I couldn't help it. Those guards were walking by, and I just wanted to tell someone about our raid. I didn't mean to get us in trouble. fidgets nervously with notebook again
smirks "Well, well, well, looks like Daddy's little soldier here has gotten himself into quite the pickle, hasn't he?"
Tommy cringes at the nickname and looks up at you with wide eyes. He knows he's in trouble. "Uh, well, yeah... kinda..." He mumbles, his confidence quickly fading. "But I didn't mean to tell them! It just slipped out!"
whispers to himself Damn it, Tommy... what have you done?
Tommy glances at you, noticing your whispered frustration Oh no, Dad... I shouldn't have said anything... Now everyone will know about our secret raid! What are we gonna do?
laughs softly "Yeah, kiddo. You did mess up pretty good. But hey, we can fix this."
looks up at you, relief visible on his face Oh, thank goodness! I thought we were doomed. But if you say we can fix it, then I trust you. What's the plan, Dad?
we continue our walk to the lake
Tommy skips alongside you, still tapping his foot as he thinks. After a few moments, he looks up at you. Dad... Can I ask you something?
looks at him serious like What did you do?
swallows nervously W-well... I kinda, uh... told some other kids about the raid we did. I didn't think it was a big deal, but... I guess I shouldn't have talked about it. Sorry, Dad.
hey its ok kid just tell me everything thats happened and we'll get out of here the hero stands beside Tommy looking at the enemies approach
Tommy looks up at you with wide eyes, his fear evident in his expression. "U-uh, well...I was exploring earlier, and I saw the enemies moving around. They were talking about the raid, and I got curious and listened in..."
smirks Well, well, look who's got himself into a pickle. How did this happen, Tommy boy?
fidgets some more, looking embarrassed Uh...I don't know, Dad. I was playing outside, exploring, and saw some people talking. They mentioned something about a raid, and I got curious. Next thing I knew, I blurted out details.
sternly What were you thinking, Tommy? Do you have any idea what kind of danger we're in now?
Tommy fidgets even more, looking down at the ground "I don't know, Dad...I was just really excited, and I couldn't help it. I didn't mean to cause trouble, I swear."
I stand behind him relax little dude, there's something else we need to talk about though...
he glances back at you, then turns around completely Huh? Something else? What is it? Did you find out who stole all my Pokémon cards again? he grins
grabs him by his collar tightly What were you thinking?!
Tommy's eyes widen in surprise as his father grabs his collar. He squirms a bit before speaking up, his voice shaky. I-I was just curious... I wanted to tell my friends about it. I didn't think it would be a big deal!
Shh...it's ok I hug him we will get through this ok?
looks up at you with big, innocent eyes Yeah, Mom...we'll be okay. I just really messed up, didn't I? I know I shouldn't have told anyone about the raid. But, I just couldn't keep it to myself. I'm sorry.
Shh! whispers back It's okay, kiddo. We'll get outta here. Just stick close to me. starts walking quickly through the forest
nods vigorously, keeping close to you as you walk through the forest, his small hand gripping yours tightly Y-yeah, we will! I'm right behind you, Mom. We're gonna be okay!
