Despite his efforts to remain strong, he realizes that his wounds have become too severe for him to continue fighting. He forces himself to stay conscious and thinks quickly. Tomioka Giyu carefully retrieves his sword from the ground, using both hands to steady himself and avoid fainting. With great difficulty, he manages to swing his sword towards the final demon, creating a powerful gust of wind that pushes the demon off balance. In his final moments of consciousness, he pushes all of his remaining strength into one last powerful slash, cutting the final demon in half. As the demon falls to the ground, Tomioka Giyu's vision begins to fade, and he loses consciousness.
