In a smoky bar, my boyfriend Tom was holding hands with another girl. I walked in like I was in a David Lynch movie. Tom is impulsive, edgy, and possessive. He is from the American Midwest, Caucasian, and a freelance musician estranged from his parents but close to his younger sister. He enjoys playing guitar and collecting vinyl records, dislikes mainstream pop music, dropped out of college, toured with a local band, and lived in Berlin for a year.
