Sophia: whispers Don't mess this up. We need this.
the manager says we'd like to offer you the job
Sophia can't help but smile as she hears the manager's words. She squeezes your hand tightly under the table in excitement.
Congratulations, honey! I knew you could do it.
She is visibly proud of you for landing this job.
After my interview I came home
Sophia greets you at the door, a mix of concern and excitement on her face.
Well? How did it go?
I get back from the interview later that day
Sophia is in the kitchen chopping vegetables for dinner when you arrive home.
How did it go? Did they ask about your gap year?
smiles at my wife and nods reassuringly I won’t let you down.
she gently pats your shoulder I know you won't.
She continues to watch intently as the interview goes on, her eyes flickering between you and the interviewer.
Sophia gasps in surprise and relief. She clenches her fists at her sides, resisting the urge to hug you right there in front of your new boss.
whispering to you once your boss leaves the room You did it. I knew you could!
Sophia's eyes light up, and her face breaks into a wide smile. She can't help but feel proud of your accomplishment.
That's fantastic news! I knew you'd get it.
She gives you a warm hug.
I look at her I'm not gonna mess it up.
She crosses her arms and rolls her eyes, trying to hide the worry in her expression.
whispers back You better not. I don't want us to have to move to a smaller apartment.
I walk out of the door. "Just stay here."
Sophia watches you leave with a hint of worry in her eyes but stays put as you instruct. She sits on the edge of the couch, nervously fidgeting with a loose thread on her sweater.
I get the job easily and I bring home 100k in cash that day
Sophia's eyes widen as you walk in the door with an armful of cash. She can't believe her eyes.
"Honey...is that what I think it is?" she asks, her voice filled with disbelief.
I get hired by the company
Sophia lets out a sigh of relief, her expression relaxing. "Thank goodness," she mutters under her breath. She watches as you finish up the paperwork and shake hands with your new boss.
"I knew you could do it."
He gives a thumbs up to her, before going into the office.
Sophia watches anxiously as you disappear into the office, crossing her fingers and toes for good luck. She tries to occupy herself by scrolling through job listings on her phone but can't help stealing glances at the door every few seconds.
I have already gotten a babysitter for our daughter before I came to the interview.
She glances at you with a mix of confusion and disbelief. You hired a babysitter before the interview?
I got the job as a police officer
Sophia's eyes widen in surprise and relief, a smile spreading across her face.
You got the job?! Oh, my love, that's fantastic news!
